Attorney Arthur Martinez

Sawicki & Phelps helps Spanish-speaking clients. Our firm has associated with Arthur R. Martinez who has provided legal services to the Spanish-speaking community of Minnesota. Mr. Martinez has concentrated his practice in the area of criminal defense.

Mr. Martinez has a broad background in providing training and education for law students, lawyers, judges and interpreters around the country and in Mexico. Mr. Martinez has been an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law for over four years. He has had the opportunity to teach for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy which is established out of Notre Dame Law School. Mr. Martinez also had an opportunity to perform in a video cassette published by West Publishing Company in the areas of opening statements and cross-examination. Mr. Martinez taught at the Western Trial Advocacy Institute as a faculty week-long instructor and had the opportunity to be on the same faculty with Gerry Spence.

Mr. Martinez has been a board member with the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was a pupil and then a barrister with the Warren Burger Inns of Court. He has been seated and appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court on the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Criminal Procedure for over four years.
